Nicole Pina

Nicole is a doctoral student at UCLA’s School of Education and Information Studies. She currently serves as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Center for Community Schooling and the Los Angeles Education Research Institute. Her research interests include emergent bilingual education and policy as well as parent engagement in BIPOC communities. She holds a B.A. in English from Yale University and an M.A. in Urban Education Administration and Policy from Loyola Marymount University. Before beginning her doctoral program at UCLA, Nicole was a high school English teacher in Los Angeles.
